Non-chocolate Advent calendar for Teen. Basically want a boy version of a beauty advent calendar!

Thought of getting my 12yr old daughter a (cheaper end) beauty advent calendar but don't want my teen son to feel left out so was wondering what was on the market for him.
So far all I can find is Lego and Lego Harry Potter ones which aren't really his thing.
Has anyone seen any good ones?

Haynes do one where you get a different component each day to build a radio.

formerbabe · 31/10/2019 14:25

Saw a match attax one in Sainsburys the other day if he's into football?

GinZinger · 31/10/2019 14:46

Not really Former 😬

Haynes one sounds interesting, I will google thanks! He likes to fiddle about with stuff.

There's fancier food versions - posh popcorn, gourmet marshmallow, pork crackling? Or pringles, or cheese!

xxlostxx · 31/10/2019 15:13

Lynx are doing one this year

There's some good ones on here, including the Haynes radio one, and another one where ou build retro computer games. Also a Fortnite one, Marvel one, men's toiletries etc...

This year I’m on strike but next year I’m going to do a Pass the Parcel style Advent calendar for mine. A quick trip to Superdrug would get loads of travel sized toiletries, plus a few things you know he’d like (key ring, mini screwdriver, Mini torch, spare headphones) and a big one for the centre.

Why didn’t I think of that before?

wishingchair1 · 31/10/2019 20:25

There was one in tesco today from rakuten? That it was a free download of a christmas film you could keep. So every day was a xmas film.
You probably could do it yourself, but it was different.

CuppaTeaPlz · 05/11/2019 17:39

Lynx do a good 12 days one, we got it this year for my partners brother 😁

NemosMum21 · 05/11/2019 19:21

Why would a 12 year old want an Advent calendar, and why would you want to buy one? Sounds like spending money for the sake of it, and the kids will most likely think it's seriously uncool.

wheretoyougonow · 05/11/2019 19:26

It don't know how many 12 year olds you know Nemo but all the ones I know still love them. In fact, kids even older than 12, I have bought my middle aged husband one [santa]
