Has anyone here had their house blessed?

I know this sounds crazy but for reasons beyond our crontrol we had to leave our home and rent our current flat. It's horrible and horrible things have befallen us on and almost weekly basis since (it's been 8 months).

I'm starting to think we/the flat is cursed!

Has anyone had their home blessed? How did you go about doing it? Did it help?

Before anyone rants on about my wooly thinking, I'm aware of how this sounds. This place is so horrible though, for the first time in my life I've considered ghosts might be real!

And yes I have two working CO detectors both recently checked by the gas man.

We had ours blessed but only because the priest who was a friend was over for dinner after we'd just moved in

My dgm asked a local church for someone to call round. Her house had an awful feeling. Even my dgm who was a complete non woo woo was afraid.

Our parish priest blesses Houses, usually after a mass or stations of the cross. Just ask at the Parochial House.

Thanks for your replys.

I feel so silly considering this but honestly this place is sickenenly strange. I'll email our local church to enquire. If I'm not a member of any congregation willl they still help me?

We had our house blessed when we moved in 25 years ago. It's a really happy house with a lovely atmosphere but tbf it was lovely before we moved in.

Many years ago in my first flat, some friends and I stupidly did an Ouija board. There were a few weird things happening after. Some maybe in my head but some a bit weird regardless. So being young and a bit (a lot) scared, I got the place blessed. It made me feel better and that’s the important thing. I wasn’t a member of a church, just called the local catholic one and someone came out. It doesn’t hurt to do it so you might as well.

Yes I'm sure if you in touch with the local church they will be happy to help. Do you want to tell us what's been happening? Hope it gets better for you x

My mum had our house blessed when I was growing up. Hope things improve for you.

After my parents passed away I got their home blessed, I felt like there was negative energy there after losing them. (there was lots of arguments between family surrounding the house also) I’d lived in this house for 24 years and suddenly hated being there, once our vicar blessed it I felt like a weight had been lifted and was able to move forward.

The local church will help you. If you are unlucky with the first one you ask (all sorts of reasons), just ask another. My last two Vicars have been to bless houses.

You can do it yourself, too, but you may feel more confident getting experienced help,
