Holiday childcare for teens

Over the half term I have been leaving my 12 and 14 yr olds at home (6 hours) - I thought this was fairly normal. The younger one is in childcare.

Was speaking to boss (who is lovely) and she was surprised I do this. She said "oh as long as the 14 yr old is there I guess".

Am I wildly out of touch? They get themselves to school miles away, can cook, remember to lock the doors when they go out, text me if they are going somehwhere etc.

Normal for my eldest 2 from 10 and 11.

I leave my 12 year old. Very sensible and would be horrified if I tried to arrange some sort of childcare.

It's normal? Don't overthink it, there's very few options beyond primary school

Normal once they’re in secondary school.

Perfectly normal.
