Hi all
My first thread ...
I have been fostering for over 2 years and put savings away for the children in our care £10 a week. However the last foster children done a lot of damage to outlet property and we decided to use the foster child’s savings to pay for this as the maintenance did not cover it (we have always over spent on this young person due to their issues) however social services have verbally ‘legally’ threatened us to give his savings and say the damage is our responsibility to pay for. (He left us after causing the damage) does anyone know if social services can legally take you to court to make you pay their savings? We foster through our local authority. Which had been a horrendous experience. We took this young person to Spain and they caused £450 worth of damage there, we had to pay out for.., thank you
