I keep finding him in my bathroom or bedroom and he's only about 3mm big. Our house is old and damp (cob walls) so presume he likes living here and I keep finding lots of his cousins around the window sills and on the floors.

Who is he?

He looks like a Joe to me.

I can’t bring myself to name a cockroach! Now there’s a sentence I never thought I’d say...!

TheWoollybacksWife · 30/10/2019 21:57

It looks like the beetles that we are finding in our house - they've been identified on the local FB group as pollen beetles.

Cedric the Cockroach??

MiaFarrowsWheelbarrow · 31/10/2019 04:21

Grin He's teeny tiny so definitely not a cockroach.

I was thinking his name might be Bob too.

Pollen beetles...that sounds like a friendly insect who isn't going to crawl into my ears whilst I'm asleep!! Will give that a google, thank you.

Thought it was a cockroach too. It could be a young one?

MiaFarrowsWheelbarrow · 04/11/2019 06:00

Finally found his name! He's a plaster beetle!

Pete. His name is Pete Plaster Beetle.

(Photo borrowed from google to show him to scale).

He’s tiny!

Elieza · 04/11/2019 20:02

You must have good eyesight OP! He’s a totie wee thing! Grin

MiaFarrowsWheelbarrow · 04/11/2019 21:49

To be fair I only really spot Pete when he moves as he moves very quickly so he catches my eye and we have white walls all over the house which help too.

Thought I saw him again tonight on the bathroom wall but I think it was one of his many cousins as it seemed a smooch smaller.
