So I've just eaten an out of date chilli burger. Am I going to get poorly?

Probably not.

Aquamarine1029 · 30/10/2019 18:06

Doubtful, but I certainly wouldn't waste time worrying about it.

onestepforwardtenstepsback · 30/10/2019 18:11

I am abit of a worrier that I am trying to change it said use by 27th and it's 30th but it looked fine and smelt fine only noticed after I'd eaten it

I cooked some raw chilli chicken last night that was seven days out of date - I nearly binned it, but it smelt fine so I cooked it, I'm still here and absolutely fine....

Chewbecca · 30/10/2019 18:18

Unlikely

PurpleDaisies · 30/10/2019 18:19

If it was well cooked and tasted ok, it’s most likely to be fine.

TheQueensCousin · 30/10/2019 18:24

Highly unlikely...I remember the days before bb dates though. We survived!

TheFesteredStiff · 30/10/2019 18:41

Use by dates usually have a 4 day grace period, precisely because supermarkets don't want to be sued and operate a strong "better safe than sorry" approach.

Pancakeflipper · 30/10/2019 18:42

If it smelt OK and tasted OK it was OK. You'll be fine.

Thanks everyone think that's the bit of re assurance I needed. I've not died yet so licking good Grin
