Any other childish fuckers LOVE Halloween and want to share excitement about it?

We've had all the threads full of people being too grown-up to "get" Halloween, wondering how any proper adult can possibly want to dress up, pumpkins taste like shit, there might be TEENAGERS out , trick-or-treating is BEGGING, Halloween sweets are the cause of the obesity epidemic yadda yadda yadda....

So does anyone else love Halloween and embrace it fully? I will be dressing up as a witch, I have gory make-up, a velvet cape and twisty purple hat, we will be carving at least 10 pumpkins, naming them and placing them around the house as we do every year (and we do eat all the flesh!), I am having a party (for adults!) and have spent all week making loads of Halloween food....

Halloween may actually be more fun than Christmas

I really enjoy Halloween! I don't go too OTT atm just the usual decorations, pumpkin carving, sweets for the kids, etc but as soon as we have kids that are old enough I'll be throwing parties and dressing up!! Can't wait. 6 months pregnant with first.. wondering when the earliest is I can take her trick or treating! 😄👻🎃

I’ll join in! I both love the more adult horror side, am just back from a week in Florida doing Halloween horror nights at Universal Studios, and the childish dress up and decorate the house.

I’ve a shed load of US Halloween candy to give out tomorrow, we will be lighting and decorating the outside of the house (DH has the day off work to do it), I’ve sewn DD a voodoo doll costume, am ready to do hair and makeup on her and her cousins. We will also have as smoke machine going as we open the door to trick or treaters along with spooky music playing.

I do get why some people don’t like it, and no one should be forced to join in or be knocking on doors of undecorated houses. However the whole “it teaches children to beg” thing is just utter hand wringing bollocks.

Pumpkins do taste like shit though .

I love Halloween ! Have decorated the house fully today - it’s been creeping in all month though...!

Tonight we are carving pumpkins and I’m planning our outfits for a party tomorrow.

I love Christmas too, but feel there is a certain type of person who likes Halloween and it makes it more special 🥰 plus no pressure to go and make nice with family members that I think are cunts, no need to make a huge dinner or buy loads of presents..

I have bought some tatty old dolls from charity shops and am making scary figures to hang up - red glitter eyes, spiders crawling on faces, some old lab coats and fake blood

Also DH is making me a model of the Tyburn Tree out of wood, on which I will be hanging gingerbread men....have even got a plastic horse so I can have one unfortunate victim being drawn on a hurdle (potato waffle) to the execution site

Oh yes. I've just finished my pumpkin piñata cake and pumpkin carving. Dressing up tomorrow. Our skeleton failed to arrive though so not much in terms of decoration.

I peaked to soon... bought a pumpkin from a pumpkin patch a week or so ago... carved at the weekend.... it's slowly turning into a puddle so not sure it will last till tomorrow night 🤦🏻‍♀️

My 4 year old DD loves Halloween- it's her first time going trick or treating this year. Can't wait to take her out 🎃

My son and I are going to a halloween party tomorrow as Ninja turtles, we were Aladdin and Abu last year (we’re brown, so took advantage).

I have a big halloween night out on Saturday, my boyfriend and I are going as Mario and Luigi, I have grown a really horrible looking moustache for it. Although my shorts arrived yesterday and they’re shorter than I was expecting!
Last year I went as Ash Ketchum.

I have a tree with a branch that goes over the garden path. Each year it makes excellent gallows with an array of small skeletons hanging off it - it makes me so happy!

I don’t especially like or dislike, but OP those cakes and snacks look fantastic!
