Second Hand Pram for First baby

I have very kindly been given a Bugaboo Pram- I didn’t really want a second-hand pram for my first baby for the main reason i wanted to be able to go on a big shopping tip and myself and my DP were saving up to buy things after Christmas. My mum was the one who had Expected the gift from a family friend and now i feel like i have to have it.. i suppose what im asking is has anyone else had a second-hand pram for their first baby?

Yes, second hand everything Grin, we had our baby much later than our friends and we’re inundated with hand me downs, including three proms/pushchairs; genuinely didn’t buy anything for our DS until he needed his first pair of shoes.

I had a third hand pram for my first baby! And used it for my second baby too. It was brilliant, TFK Joggster, I loved it. AND it saved us a lot of money to spend on other things. The only 'big ticket' items we bought new were the crib (IKEA) and car seats (which we actually spent good money for the best on).

If a pram works you don't need new, one child using it for a few years is not going to ruin it for your baby. Don't worry :)

Yep, I did and it was fantastic. I really don’t see any need to buy brand new if you can save money and get a second hand one in good condition. Bugaboo’s are great too so you are lucky to get one for nuffin’.

DerbyshireGirly Glad you got a bagain, just make sure you put the dry cleaned bits outside to air for a few hours before putting the baby in it so that the dry cleaning chemicals dissipate, once they have been aired they will be just fine

@lowlandLucky thanks for the tip, first baby and we're fairly clueless so wouldn't have known to do that!
