Maternity pay

Hi all

I'm currently on SMP and have been getting circa £680 p/m, however I've been paid £800 this month.

Any idea why?

My payslips are only accessible via work laptop which hasn't been on for 6 months and has two step authentication so I'd have to faff with laptop and phone so, while I'll check if needed, I was hoping one of you brain boxes could help

Staff bonus? You're still entitled not them on maternity leave.

When does your holiday year end? Could be holidays accumulated that you haven't taken

Is it to do with the number of weeks in the month?

@AnnoyedByAlfieBear in my dreams - we don't get any kind of bonus, ever  there have been redundancies recently too so can't imagine there's any spare cash floating around

SMP is paid weekly. Some months are 5 weeks.

Is it tax-related? I had £179 this month when I shouldn't have had anything and on my payslip it said "tax".

I have no clue about tax by the way. Just a thought!
