Nice country house hotel to take aged parents to?

Looking to take elderly parents away for the weekend and I'm after a nice country house hotel, ideally with a charming town/beach nearby.

England, central/south/west in the interests of town. I'd love to hear any recommendations.

Beautiful hotel with lovely food, a bit pricey but even the dog got butler service

We were lucky enough to have a company treat from DH's company for 10 years service.

Or here www.calcot.co near to Bath or Cotswolds, stroud, Cheltenham that sort of area.
