Anyone have any recommendations for grown up Christmas things to do ?

Not ice skating and its a group of women on a small Xmas party - late 30s and 40s

There's a great place to have an unusual take on a cream tea at Scoff and Banter.

I went recently with a group to lunch in Borough Market, followed by cocktails at Ned in Poultry where on a Saturday afternoon there is a pianist and singer.

I went to Somerset House close to Christmas a few years back, and there was a free photography exhibition on, and plenty of stalls selling hot chocolate and other nice treats. Usually lots of that sort of stuff in Covent Garden as well, which will be super Christmassy. A gentle stroll along the Southbank from the London Eye to London Bridge is always nice (when the weather's good) and plenty of little tucked away bunches of independant shops, you go past Tate Modern (free), there's usually free stuff in the foyers of the BFI, National Theatre, Southbank Centre, etc.

Crazymum I am staying near the Tate so I will certainly do that walk.

Edwin - i might skip the hot tub. Too much advance maintenence required for that
