Baby not moving, handhold please!

After having the morning from hell (electricity running out, nausea, broken burglar alarm blaring incessantly while standing outside in the rain) I realised this afternoon I've felt no movement since last night Sad

I'm 30 weeks with DC1, a girl. Sitting in maternity triage at the moment on my own as DH at work an hour away. Had the same thing last week and it was all fine but can't seem to stop my thoughts going to the worst places Sad

I went to hospital 3 times with no movement; all was well. Once DS kicked literally as they put the monitor on me.
Fingers crossed for you.

GrimDamnFanjo · 29/10/2019 15:20

Try not to panic. You are in the right place.

LolaSmiles · 29/10/2019 15:21

What a rubbish morning for you.

I had that wait a few weeks ago so sympathise and am here for a hand hold.

It's really uncommon for a massive problem at this stage and most likely baby has just moved into a different position or is having a sleep. It doesn't make it easier though.

Here's a handhold from me

TonOfLead · 29/10/2019 15:26

Handhold here. You're in the right place.

When I've ended up in maternity triage because I've not felt the baby moving, the little imp has started dancing around the moment the monitor has been put on.

Here's hoping it is the same for you.

LauraPalmersBodybag · 29/10/2019 15:30

I’m seconding everyone above op. At 30 weeks the baby can just be in a position where you’re not feeling the movements. It’s bloody terrifying though and I’m sorry you’re by yourself.

Great that you’ll be seen soon. Sending support Flowers

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 29/10/2019 15:33

Hand hold from me, I've been up twice so far and everything has been fine but you're in exactly the right place.

Livebythecoast · 29/10/2019 15:36

Handhold here too.
I had lots of these moments too. Terrifying until you're reassured Flowers.

Jubilation · 29/10/2019 15:36

Sometimes when you're really busy, it's easy not to feel movement. With my DC1, I was in a mad decorating frenzy and ended up like you, having it checked out. It's not a good feeling but you're in the best place. 😘

isitpossibleto · 29/10/2019 15:37

Hand hold here. You are in the right place and doing all you can.

ReginaPhalangeee · 29/10/2019 15:37

Handhold for you OP Thanksxx

Jubilation · 29/10/2019 15:37

Hasten to add, not felt movement for a few days but all was well.

MarshaBradyo · 29/10/2019 15:38

Oh well done for going I hope you are reassured very soon

pooopypants · 29/10/2019 15:39

I had this with both DC. They're now 5 & 3. As PP have said, you often don't notice movements when you're rushed off your feet but you're in the best place to get checked over. I also had anterior (?) placenta with both which made their movements harder to feel as it acts like a cushion

ScarlettDarling · 29/10/2019 15:40

Op, you've probably been so busy and so stressed out that you haven't felt the movements. You're doing the right thing to get it checked out though, I so hope everything is fine for you.

littlemissminor · 29/10/2019 15:41

I am 37 weeks and have been in 4 times for reduced/no movements. Everyone would much rather you went in than not. Mine keeps changing position so I can't feel him.

A massive handhold and lots of positive thoughts your way ThanksThanks

Hollywhiskey · 29/10/2019 15:42

I'm sitting next to my nearly two year old who stopped moving maybe 3 times. The monitoring equipment normally seemed to wake her up. In the end she was induced because of it (after forty weeks so no worries). Even now she sometimes just has an extra long sleep when her body needs it.

Mine of mine had no heartbeat on a Doppler, consultant called in and baby was fine on the scan. It's such a worrying time

WishMyNameWasWittyNotShitty · 29/10/2019 16:00

Hope everything is ok Lovely xx

ChristinaMarlowe · 29/10/2019 16:00

Never happened with DD1 but was in triage for a scan three separate times with DD2 , better to be safe than sorry. Was fine all three times. Don't panic Thanks

IamWaggingBrenda · 29/10/2019 16:06

Hand hold from here. Babies tend to move less as they get bigger, as there is less space. Try not to panic, you are where you should be.

Seaandsand83 · 29/10/2019 16:08

Any news OP? 💐

INeedNewShoes · 29/10/2019 16:08

I found that if I was rushing around that DD would be settled (or that if she make littles movements I wouldn't notice them).

She also had a little schedule of being very active for a day or two and then having a very quiet day (cue lots of worry!).

I expect you will be fine but you have done the right thing going to get checked out.
