What constitutes stalking?

My friends ex just won’t let go, he’s turned up unannounced when she was at the park with friends and their children, he’s driven round to her new house and parked outside ( she hadn’t told him her new address) , he’s just been to her house again and put an abusive letter through her door . She thought she had blocked him on all social media but he called her using WhatsApp, she hasn’t answered.
Does this count as stalking?

Definitely stalking. I experienced similar with a very needy and demanding friend. Blocked them so came to house etc. Sent a message telling them to stop. So far all good.

Yes, I'd say so. If she gets worried, she should log a complaint with the non emergency police, or even email her local police station so there's a record of it. I'd definitely be telling him that she's going to get them involved, if he doesn't back off and leave her alone.

It's stalking, she needs to call the police as this behaviour can escalate and get scary quickly.

Thanks all , I told her it’s stalking and to get advice from 101 . I think she’s not sure because she knows him , I reckon the majority of stalkers are known to the victim though.
