Hello,
When I got married and changed my name I filled the form out and changed my name to first name and new married surname.
However, I’ve regretted it ever since and what I should have done was put my maiden name down as my middle name. I have no idea why that didn’t occur to me at the time!
I want to keep my maiden name in some form for personal and cultural reasons.
I’ve looked on the gov sure and it only really gives guidance on name changes (submitting change of name deed) or surnames. I can’t really find much in middle names.
I’m trying to call them but have been waiting for ages. I will keep trying but I’m the meantime has anyone had a similar situation?
