If you like chocolate made with butter, not palm oil then try Tony's Chocolonely. Ethically and environmentally friendly, aims to end the slave trade and utterly delicious!
Stocked in Sainsbury's!
Several varieties. So far I've only tried the milk chocolate but will be going back for more soon.

Big fans of Tony's here too.

I tried the salted caramel and it was very nice, but I tried the milk chocolate the other day and it was nothing special. I've had cheap chocolate that tasted just like it. I was disappointed. I'm holding out hopes for the one with pretzels though.

I love it too but only occasionally as it’s quite expensive!

Isn’t there a special section for advertising?

FlibbertyGiblets · 28/10/2019 11:06

Oh gawd Bert. I'm a plonker. In my defence I've not had much coffee yet.

Plexie · 28/10/2019 11:08

It's not new, Sainsburys have been selling it for a while and people have posted about it on here.

I found the salted caramel too sweet and the milk chocolate tastes like cheap chocolate (slightly nutty, like the chocolate I remember from unbranded advent calendars when I was a kid). On taste alone I wouldn't bother with it again.

Sainsburys are now selling small bars too, so you can try it without committing to an expensive large bar.

missyB1 · 28/10/2019 11:11

Is it vegan? I have a vegan niece to buy for and need a bar of choc to add to her present.

PralineCookies · 28/10/2019 11:18

Of those available in Sainsburys only the dark almond and sea salt is vegan. .

TakeMeToYourLiar · 28/10/2019 11:25

I tried the milk chocolate last week and really didn't enjoy it.

Wouldn't buy again

missyB1 · 28/10/2019 11:27

Oh it’s proving tricky to find vegan chocolate 😕

PralineCookies · 28/10/2019 11:28

That's exactly what it tasted like. I actually enjoy that taste now and again as it makes me nostalgic, but not at those prices. Luckily I bought the small bar. Unfortunately Sainsburys don't seem to sell the pretzel version in a smaller bar so that I can try it.

PralineCookies · 28/10/2019 11:36

They won't/can't eat the dark almond and sea salt?

The Vegan Womble has a list of chocolate bars and chocolates that are vegan, arranged by brand(It tells you where to source them) and store. veganwomble.co.uk/vegan-chocolate-bars-and-bags/

It's a long list so lots of scrolling but it's worth checking.

Try Hotel chocolat for really good vegan chocolate

4forkssake · 28/10/2019 11:42

Missy, Hotel Chocolate, Amazon & Holland & Barrett all sell vegan chocolate

PigletJohn · 28/10/2019 11:56

@Missyb1

"Made with butter" suggests not vegan.
