Ordering clothes from wish

I'm looking to get Christmas presents, does anybody know what size I should order for UK size 6/8. I know people have said they come up smaller, so was going to order a medium???

Don't. They never look like the pictures and they fall to bits after 1 wash and wear everything on Wish is a false economy just cheap tat

jaggynettle · 27/10/2019 20:58

I'd strongly advise against it. The things I have bought have been extremely poor quality and a terrible fit despite going up a size (or two!) For me, it was a total waste of money - you'd be as well going to Primark.

Northernsoullover · 27/10/2019 21:01

Don't do it. I bought a top from Wish. It was like one of those disasters you see on the internet. It was NOTHING like the picture.

SKMCR · 27/10/2019 21:02

I really wouldn't bother.

ihavehobbies · 27/10/2019 21:55

Ah no, they had some lovely things that I was going to get for the pre-teen that were a bit quirky. Plan B I guess (not that I know what that is). Thanks all

@ihavehobbies Try Aliexpress instead it works out cheaper and you can check the photo reviews. If anything arrives and isn't as described you can claim your money back quite easily.

mcmen05 · 27/10/2019 23:36

They are grand for young teenagers as they only wear things a couple of times.

ComtesseDeSpair · 27/10/2019 23:51

Wish isn’t all terrible - buy from stores with good reviews and it’s generally fine. It’s gotten better on sizing than it used to be, most items have a review section where people have indicated whether they run true to size or small. Avoid the real “bargains” i.e. winter coat for £11.45 because the adage of if it looks too good to be true it probably is is pretty accurate.

I keep seeing their adverts on Facebook. I can’t work out what the stuff is they’re trying to sell!

Has anyone bought from Shein?

SuperDuperJezebel · 28/10/2019 06:32

I have @cherrysoup - I read the reviews and look at photo reviews very carefully before I buy though! I have only had one dud, and it was something I bought with no reviews! My friend bought a load of holiday stuff when she went away earlier this year and had exactly the same experience, she was fine when she paid attention to the reviews and not so much when she ignored them. Everything apart from that one dud I've really liked and have been complimented on loads.

Howmanysleepsnow · 28/10/2019 08:04

My dd12 is size 6. On wish that’s a large. Im a 10 and XL! Material tends to be cheap/ synthetic but no problem with falling apart so far. Do check reviews though.

NanooCov · 28/10/2019 16:19

Wish and Shein are both absolutely awful. Not just sizing but also quality and the fact things are never like the photos or description. The only success I've had is with socks! 😄
