Well, KFC was disappointing this evening

We shared a boneless bucket banquet meal. It was all luke-warm, the beans were manky and not nice, the chips tasted like they'd been sat for an hour before we got them.

Won't be going back in a hurry! I was really looking forward to it too; hadn't had a KFC in years :(

Sounds like you had KFC from our local lol manky chips, mouldy bread and the order is always wrong! Miss KFC

Food from a bucket is doomed from the off.

That sounds pretty normal op. It's never something I buy with the expectation of being impressed. But dc bloody love it so I take one for the team.

Our local KFC is a total disappointment. The food is always greasy and flaccid. There's another KFC half an hour away and it's much nicer. Standards seem to vary a lot from branch to branch!

Sounds like you're suffering from some sort of misplaced nostalgia.

Has KFC, or fast food in general, ever been anything other than a bit shit?

GeneHuntLover · 28/10/2019 11:18

The chicken when hot and fresh is the best thing ever, the new skin on fat chips are an abomination

Lhastingsmua · 28/10/2019 11:20

KFC chips have always been shit, they would have been disappointing warm too! Personally think you should have got mash and gravy as sides instead. Surprisingly satisfying.

The only decent fast food is McDonald’s in my opinion, I don’t have it often (like 1/2 times a year) but it really hits the spot when you’re hungover or generally craving shit food!

Other fast food branches in my area don’t compare, just instant regret. I live in London and next to my nearest McDonald’s are Nando’s, TGIs, Wasabi, Itsu etc so I have nicer options for take aways, hence why I don’t have Maccies often!
