People who start a conversation half way through

I have a friend who often starts text / email exchanges as though we are half way through a conversation. I've come to the conclusion that she must have a dialogue with me in her head but forget to actually say / write it out loud.

One example, a few weeks ago we were meeting for lunch and I asked her for suggestions of where to meet. She said 'well do you want to come to x shop with me or not' as though we had previously discussed going to x shop even though we hadn't. Similarly today, she sent me a message which implied that we had agree to do something but I'm sure we hadn't.

I've never challenged her because it wasn't until today that I worked out that it's not me being absent minded that's the problem but actually that I feel like I've missed part of the dialogue. Does anyone else have experience of this?

My family often finish conversations which were started ages ago. Weeks in some cases
