Day Nurse if you can get your hands on some. Marvellous stuff.

BrigitsBigKnickers · 27/10/2019 15:12

Yup- day nurse! Fab stuff!

Confuseddotcotton · 27/10/2019 15:15

Day nurse, but only if your job doesn’t involve heavy machinery!

It works wonders for me, but leaves me feeling a bit woozy. Plus, where I work there are random drugs and alcohol tests, and something in day nurse would flag up the test as a failure.

Why can't you stay at home, and call in sick? It sounds like you're really poorly!

EleanorReally · 27/10/2019 15:51

Crap job where no one else is available, should have ring first thing

Steaming hot shower.

Something with caffeine in it.

Paracetamol (be careful what else you’re taking).

TieYourTie · 27/10/2019 15:53

Are you working with vulnerable people you might pass the cold onto? My work would make me stay clear until I was better and I'd be in trouble if I turned up with your symptoms.

Baguetteaboutit · 27/10/2019 15:55

Gargling salt water might help your sore throat, feels like you are drowning in the sea but worth it. Use tap water, not filtered.
Drink lots of hot drinks. Take paracetamol.

Also, try and get a nap in.
