Hi I wondered if anyone could give me some advice on Secondary schools. I am looking for my son for next September 2020 but finding the situation very stressful.
We live in the Leith Hill area but my son currently goes to primary in Guildford due where I work etc.
As we do not live in the catchment, Guildford schools are looking unlikely that we will get in to any, and I really don’t want to have to move.
Looking at our location The Priory and potentially Ashcombe schools I think are the closest. Would really love some feedback from parents as to what these schools are like or if there are any others that are worth looking at.
Thank you you would be helping a currently very stressed out about schools mamma 😉.

are you in the catchment area for the howard? it shows a map of the catchment area on their website. i dont know the 2 schools you mentioned well at all, but i would recommend looking round them so that you can get a feel of them

I’m not sure if I am I cannot see on the map it’s so tiny and I can’t seem to find any other info on catchment for the Howard 😊

My children go to Ashcombe and we've been very happy with it. Two have left school and two still there. Pastoral care has been good. I have friends whose children have gone to Priory and are happy there.

Thank you had a look but can’t see us on the catchment I suppose it’s probably best to just contact them.

I went to Ashcombe albeit a few decades ago now. Loved it there and the current headteacher was one of my teachers even back then.
