Mumsnet (argos) ravens

I was thinking back to last year and wondering what the mumsnet Ravens were doing this Halloween?

Perching on a mantle piece? Spookily staring out the window? Or did they simply not survive to scare another year?

For those not around to see the thread last year, a mumsnetter had bought a raven decoration from argos which then led to many, many more being bought. The raven almost became a spooky version of elf on the shelf.

I must have missed that last year. Does anyone has a link to the original thread please?

My raven is sitting on the shelf next to the skull collection, I have some airyfairy plans to make him into a lamp after seeing a version of THIS CREATION in a swank London shop window

The original thread was all about someone's dh chucking away a £5 argos voucher because there would be nothing to purchase for that and ended up with the neighbours cctv spying on him as the raven loomed out of the porch at him one dark night.

No ravens in Argos this year - aaaaaaaaaargh!

Sainsbury's had them earlier in the month

Mine's in the back seat of the car. No idea why! Not dressed up yet.

Mine's not dressed up yet. He's still in the bedroom keeping watch.

I got mine 6 years ago in Matalan. He's still in good nick, I might let him downstairs to join the Halloween shelf, although he usually lives in my bedroom.

Yes, Argos had a run on them and there were some hilarious questions, obviously from Mnetters, on the Q&A section of the website.

Loads in the charity shops at the moment.

Waitrose has them.

Oh I’d forgotten all about that thread. I too missed out on a Raven.

Mine has been sitting by the fireplace. He gets decorated for various seasonal events I’m not sure I’d have the heart to get rid of him.

I missed out on a raven last year, so got one this year instead DH has stuck it to the top of the telly.

I'm thinking of having mine in my car on the parcel shelf. Bit worried someone may smash the window to release her.

Mines currently peeking out of my partners sock drawer waiting for when he puts some socks on in the morning

I loved that thread. That and the Christmas no parking sign decorating were Mumsnet at it's frivolous, inventive best.

I need to get me a raven. I don't live near a Wilcos - any other raven spotters out there seen one?
