What do you wear for a water birth?

Nothing?
Do you pack an actual bikini top or something?
Just a t-shirt?

I'm hoping for a water birth in 9 weeks and this is something that popped into my mind that I've never thought of when I couldn't sleep at 2am this morning.

Am I being stupid? 😂

What WillowySnicket said... I’m also a prude and I stripped naked in the labour room and practically ran and dived in that pool. (Then jumped out and dived on the bed... I was surprisingly agile in labour)
Partners can get in if midwives are happy for them too, some would prefer not.
Midwives don’t get in.. but might be elbow deep in the water with a mirror... 😂

I’ve had 5 water births and I either worn a tanking or just left my bra in depending on how much time I’ve had to get in! I have quite fast births.

I think I had a vest top on to start with then just ended up naked!

The MWs don't get in, no. But they can do everything they need to do from the edge. Partners can get in, yes. I loved my water birth. I think I got out once the placenta was out, so about 20 mins after baby born.

I was going to wear a vest top in the water but ended up naked.
