Thinking about going at half term - any tips / info for DS7 and DD5?

Park or train?
Take a picnic?
Times?

Or just don't bother as will be rammed?!?

Park. Theres a car park next door. It isn't close to the train station.

We didn't take a picnic. They have those sandwich meal deals there which aren't too pricey at all.

Go early and it will be less busy.

We went on a Saturday I think and it was fine. We spent all day there and really enjoyed it.

Quick bump in case anyone else has any info - are there any tip exhibits or areas we should make a bee line for early on before it gets too busy?

We went yesterday and had a lovely afternoon but it was very busy! It was a little manic- children and Lego everywhere but we still managed to do everything we wanted and the queues moved quickly.
It's not a big place, mostly in one room but I would head to the build and race Lego cars before it gets too busy. The soft play bit gets quieter during the 4D movies (if you go to them wear a coat- you're likely to get wet...)
There is a small cafe, which seemed good but didn't see any kind of picnic area or anywhere you could eat a picnic.
Hope you have a fun day.
