Copper coil, should I be worried?

I had a copper coil fitted 10 days ago.. I have bled every day since with stomach cramps. I have tried to feel for strings and can't, but I don't have particularly long fingers.. on Friday I had another feel in the bath and i think I'm swollen inside. I decided to put my moon cup in after the bath to see how much blood is actually coming out of me. I've used a moon cup for 10 years and thought maybe using the pads is just alarming because I've forgotten what it's like seeing blood on a pad.

When I put the moon cup in, it didn't sit where it normally sits and was protruding out, plus felt uncomfortable (I don't ever feel my moon cup or find it uncomfortable to use..)

6 hours later I took it out and it was about 10ml of blood. That's more than I would get from a period in that time.

The doctor that put the coil in said there would be spotting for a few days.. this is more than spotting right?

I've started feeling light headed whenever I stand up.. and am tired. Other than that am ok. Except for the stomach cramps..

Has anyone had a coil fitted with a similar experience? Should I be going to the doctor or should I just wait and it will settle?

I'd go and see the doctor if I was you. If things don't feel right, better to get seen. Hope it gets sorted!
