I have been left £1000 in my Grandmother's will. She was a fabulous woman who travelled extensively as a solo female back in the 60s and 70s when this wasnt really the done thing. She encountered pirates off the coast of Africs and had many other brilliant travel stories. I want to spend the money to travel somewhere as she would have thought that was the best way to spend it. £1000 wont get me and DH very far but where should we go? I'm not sure places like Rome, Paris etc really appeal to me as to be honest I dont get overly excited by history/architecture etc. Maybe something a bit more active and exciting? I'm driving myself round the bend looking at options. Any ideas?
