What can I do with old school uniforms?

Posting here for traffic, sorry.I've tried ethical living but not had much response and I need some ideas smartish.
I've been having a clear out prior to having some renovations done at home and I've found a big bag of uniform - mainly polo shirts and sweatshirts with prominent logos - from my children's old primary school. Normally I would pass on to someone or take to a charity shop but the school has recently changed the uniform to a completely different colour and design so it is no use to anyone. Any ideas what I could do with it? Can stuff like that be recycled and if so, where would I need to take it? We have quite a good kerbside recycling scheme in our area with lots of different things collected, but not fabric. Is there likely to be a fabric recycling facility at a tip? Or does anyone have any more imaginative ideas what can be done with it? I need to get the room cleared asap but really don't want anything to end up in landfill if it can be avoided.

Give it to a charity shop, they can decide to sell on or donate as rags.

Most charity shops take rags, just tell them when you drop it off that’s what’s in the bag.
That’s how I usually get rid of old uniform/pjs/ripped clothes and they’ve always been happy to take them.

Cut them up and use for cleaning

H&M have boxes where you can drop off clothes for textiles recycling (and you get a £5 off £30 spend voucher when you do so, though this may or may not interest you!)

Give them to a charity shop.

Have you asked the school if they are doing anything with the old uniform? They may have a recycling scheme set up.

Otherwise i would just put them into a clothing recycling bank.

Definitely ask the school. More and more are selling used uniform for school funds or donating it to families who need it. Local food banks here will also take uniform from catchment schools.
