I have had bad exzema for almost 20 year. I get it on my arms and on my nose and cheeks which really effects my confidence. Hate leaving the house when it's bad. I have tried epaderm cream and hydrocortisone creams from the doctors. I have tried child's farm cream, aveeno cream, dermalex cream, and sudocrem. Nothing seems to help, it never goes away. Especially the part on my face it just cycles between mild and really red. Any advice? Anything that helped for you or someone you know?

The only thing I am finding helps mine just now is Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream.

Go back to the doctors. There are many more creams they can offer - hydrocortisone is just the starting point. Don't be afraid of steroids, the right one can work brilliantly.

Agree there may be a better cream for you , try asking your Dr if an anti-histamine may help.
Old fashioned Piriton for choice.

Are you sure it is eczema? My adult DD had "eczema" round her nose and cheeks etc but it was actually some kind of fungal infection, so hydrocortisone was making it worse. She has had eczema since a baby (on her arms and folds at back of knees, front of ankles). We asked for a referral to a dermatologist and a skin swab.

If it is eczema that hydro isn't cutting it for then betnovate or protopic can usually help.
