Practice managers boss?

Hi all, I need to make a complaint about a gp practice manager to her boss. It isn't medical related, so not an NHS type of complaint, it's about her directly and her behaviour in the workplace.
Does anyone know how I would go about finding this out? She is not likely to give me the info...

Either your local Patient Advice and Liaison Service or local Clincial Commissioning Group maybe?

Loveislandaddict · 24/10/2019 21:32

maybe write to the partners in the practice, or your local CCG?

PatchworkElmer · 24/10/2019 21:33

Surely she’s employed by the practice? I.e. the GP partners?

GP partner?

Mumthedogsbeensick · 24/10/2019 21:35

Possibly one of the GP's. Are they partners or salaried? At the practice where I used to work the practice manager was employed by the GP partners and if there were any issues relating to the practice manager we would have had to discuss them with the senior partner.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I'm thinking it must be the GPs. It would need to be the same person who would deal with an employment tribunal. The GPs rather than the NHS as a whole?

@BertyFlanter, practices are privately owned and contracted to the NHS. So I would say that you need to complain to the owners of the practice in the first instance. Maybe call PALS for advice if still unsure?

Complaints about a gp practice should go to NHS England

BertyFlanter · 28/10/2019 08:31

Thanks all for the replies. I'm going to send the letter to the owners of the practice with a copy to HR.

They should have a complaints procedure...can you look on their practice website to see who to direct your complaint to?

Hi, I work in a GPs surgery. The Practice Manager's boss are the GP Partners. If you are talking about complaining about working with them our surgery has just gone through the same thing very recently.if you want anymore info just let me know.
