OP's post at 20.58

we just discovered there's no wine glasses or tumblers

manicmij · 25/10/2019 23:50

The letters look like Garim Gavim when expanded. Any good?

Zebrasinpyjamas · 25/10/2019 23:59

@PaddingtonBearPumpkinstare download the Amazon app as that can replace the firestick remote. (Hopefully you can make it link initially without the remote).
P.s. loving the #savegavin from earlier posts 🤣

AlunWynsKnee · 26/10/2019 00:24

Paddington isn't there an app you can download to control a firestick?

PaddingtonBearPumpkinstare · 26/10/2019 03:08

@Zebrasinpyjamas @AlunWynsKnee I've tried to download it before but it wouldn't work although I can't remember why now (yes I have forgotten it before Grin). I'll have to try again when the rain drives us all crazy Hmm

BarbaraofSeville · 26/10/2019 04:33

Oh, when someone said glasses, I thought spectacles not drinking vessels.

Not taking glasses would be something I would do because I only really wear them for driving and if DP was driving I wouldn't notice until we've gone somewhere that I don't have them with me.

cliffdiver · 26/10/2019 08:00

The mystery item isn't drinking glasses. We would have expected them to be here, so wouldn't have packed them.

Re eye glasses, DD1 and DH wear glasses but they're on their respective heads.

moanyhole · 26/10/2019 08:17

EleanorReally · 26/10/2019 08:34

6demandingchildren · 26/10/2019 08:44

My guess is quavers

CameraTime · 26/10/2019 09:13

You can absolutely drink wine out of mugs, OP.

joanne2020 · 26/10/2019 09:15

Haunted pencil?

Bilngismything · 26/10/2019 09:18

Garrmin

Vanhi · 26/10/2019 09:21

You can absolutely drink wine out of mugs, OP.

But not at the speed you usually drink tea. That's inadvisable. voice of experience

bingandflop · 26/10/2019 09:29

Quavers 😂

jalopy · 26/10/2019 09:46

WaitingInTheBushesOfLove · 26/10/2019 09:51

Oohhh is the first letter actually a number? Does that ring a bell?

9 something?
9 avon?
9 avem?
9 avien?
9 arien?
9 am phone call? Grin

Katinski · 26/10/2019 10:50

has OP ever given us a satisfactory reason why tinfoil is top of the list cos her priorities seem just...well..weird?
And so I reckon the 4th item is dog biscuits, probably of the Bonio variety.
Wrapped in tinfoil, natch, to preserve that essential crunch.
Sorted.Grin
PS my child teethed on dog biscuits-you got a teething child,OP?

BarbaraofSeville · 26/10/2019 10:56

Maybe tin foil was the first thing that came out of her head? There's no rhyme and reason as to how the list forms if you're a scatty and illegible list maker. I usually have the 'brain dump' first draft, which I then have to categorise and put in order before I can actually get on with anything.

She said the foil was needed was because they needed to take packed lunch with them one day. I should take a hint from that because what we usually end up doing is realising we need foil on holiday, buy some, bring it home because I don't like to waste things, to add to the drawer with the other spare foil because it takes us about 2-3 years to use a roll up.

Acciocats · 26/10/2019 11:23

Inspector Javert from Les Mis. Are you in pursuit of Jean Valjean? Was he last seen in TN3?

WeshMaGueule · 26/10/2019 11:37

You've slipped into French for a moment. It says savon.

Adifferentcorner · 26/10/2019 12:34

Something ending in avery?

6demandingchildren · 26/10/2019 13:47

something from avon that you either have 9 of or it begins with G
