Did I imagine it or did he used to have a Spanish accent? Not sure if it's just me or mandala theory.

Yes! I noticed this the other day. I think he was originally Spanish in the first few series but is an earnest Brit now.

We have the first season on DVD...I don't remember any Spanish accent at all but I'm tempted to check now

Yes! I'm not going mad. DS is growing out of Octonaughts now and I feel a bit sad that I'm not going to hear all the different accents. Thomas is lacking in variation.

No, I don't think so. Ds1 was mad about Octonauts when it first came out so I've seen all the early episodes a gazillion times.

Peso's always sounded the same afaik.

He is Spanish in America. Always had that weedy earnest English voice here though!

Ah! I wonder if Netflix episodes are the American version then and when we watch on CBeebies it's the UK one...
