Anyone awake?

I think my behaviour might be certifiably insane. I'm going on holiday, catching a train in the early morning. I've spent the entire evening on the internet so I only have myself to blame. I now need to finish packing which isn't too bad but I also want to try and tidy up the house so I'm not leaving in a total mess. I've been really stressed lately. It's not just me, going on holiday is stressful isn't it? I will have a nice time when I get there though, I hope.

Where are you off to? Smile

Yes the build up to going away is stressful! And of course you will have a lovely time. I would spend my energy on packing now and not worry too much about the house. Have a super time!

Ah thanks for the replies. Just had a bath. Not sure it was a good idea as almost fell asleep.

Just UK. To a parent's house which is very far away and scenic. Home cooking and a very lively dog.

You are right, I shall pack and do the dishes and try and stop myself there.

Awake here....first month of early retirement...teaching...sitting in bed reading...eating fresh cream cakes and browsing all those cheap holiday deals out of term time.... I always pack a week ahead of any trips anyway....have a nice break..

Awake here....chronic pain.Sad
I know what you mean. I really wish they would hurry up and invent the "beam me up Scotty" machine off Star Trek in real life as I love holidays but hate the actual travel bit.
Have a lovely trip. Hopefully you can snooze on the train.

Your trip sounds lovely. Try and rest. Things don't have to be perfect before you leave, good enough is ok.

I have a train to catch at 7.30 and the stress of having to leave early is making me unable to fall asleep

I missed these replies. Gosh cream cakes sound good. Managed three hours sleep. Had a lovely dinner tonight. Hope everyone got some sleep.
