Washer-Dryer recommendations

Please...

We've had our little Beko for 15 years but it's becoming a bit old and shit. We often have to prewash, hand wash, double wash, double rinse etc to help the old dear out!

I feel guilty about replacing it before it's died of natural causes but with 2 preschoolers, living on a farm, and a constant stream of house guests, I really want a washing machine that works well... and a dryer... imagine the luxury of a dryer... no more spider willies all over my best towels!!

Just had to replace mine because my husband overloaded it with detergent for "very" dirty clothes while I was away for the week - apparently the electronics reacted to the extreme amount of lather as through it was water and burnt out. Repair uneconomical, so looked at Which? reports and chose the replacement from the Best Buys. Hope it lasts longer as I will insist husband is supervised until fully trained in it use! I chose the Best Buy that suited my budget, but there was a range of prices from quite reasonable to silly £££. Good luck!
