You've got £500. What do you treat yourself to?

Has to be you and only you. No saving it, no paying a bill. Purely a treat.

I think for me it's a Brora cashmere scarf and some See by Chloe boots.

You?

Dubarry boots
A barometer

PrincessHoneysuckle · 22/10/2019 21:05

I've just spent £500 on a 3 day break to ibiza next year so I'd say a holiday!

DrCoconut · 22/10/2019 21:21

I'm not sure. I'd love to go on a holiday but would really want to take the DC with me. Or put it toward the house renovation as living in a nice house will be a treat.

MaryMoffett · 22/10/2019 22:00

Ooh silk bedsheets sound amazing

A weekend in the best cordwood country hideaway with DH, novels and hearty food.

EdWinchester · 22/10/2019 22:11

Maybe a night in a posh b&b.

Or Botox and a facial.

Courtney555 · 22/10/2019 22:12

Jimmy Choo trainers

Courtney555 · 22/10/2019 22:13

Oh god yes and next Botox treatment once kids have been born

Juanmorebeer · 22/10/2019 22:18

A massage, new perfume, a handbag and the rest on cinema tickets

BertrandRussell · 22/10/2019 22:25

I remember ages ago dp was away over half term and MIL sent me £300 with strict instructions to spend it before the week was up. Ds and I had such a lovely time. I have no idea what we spent it on. Tickets for a comedy gig. Delicious things to eat. I can’t remember what else!

bringbackthesun · 22/10/2019 22:29

Wow what a lovely MIL, Bertrand

tangledyarn · 22/10/2019 22:58

A lovely snuggly new wool coat (I have coats but none I like currently) I've got to travel to London from up north for a hospital treatment in a few weeks so would also upgrade from the shitty hotel I've booked to somewhere lovely for the night to make the experience more pleasant!

Moondancer73 · 22/10/2019 23:03

@Shoutymomma you beat me to it 😂

theSnuffster · 22/10/2019 23:06

We're having a new kitchen soon, but there's things I'd like to get as part of it that we can't actually afford at the moment. A new kettle and toaster, table and chairs, matching set of plates/ bowls/ mugs etc... I guess that breaks the rules though?! In which case i'd get myself some new winter boots, something really good quality that will last. And a bottle of loccitane shower oil- I had a tiny sample bottle once in a subscription box and absolutely loved it but have never been able to justify buying a bottle as it's very expensive.

Blibbyblobby · 22/10/2019 23:12

A flat screen to display google calendar

Majorcollywobble · 22/10/2019 23:15

A replacement pair of Dubarry boots as mine are leaking . And a Berghaus jacket .

80sMum · 22/10/2019 23:15

I'm not sure. Maybe a fitness watch with GPS to track my walks. Or a Tanita smart scale that measures body fat and muscle mass etc.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 22/10/2019 23:16

A weekend in Cologne with or without DS (he would not be impressed if I went solo though)

MissLadyM · 22/10/2019 23:18

A facial, silk dressing gown, a beauty advent, diptyque candle, delicious chocolate, a few bottles of champagne, a Chanel lipstick some books and records! Do you want my bank details?

Margotsmom · 22/10/2019 23:18

I think I would spend it on glamming my frumpy self up ! Lip fillers, teeth whitening and a nice set of nails.....Maby a wee spray tan if there’s anything left in the budget.

RoseMartha · 22/10/2019 23:20

A new bed. My current one should have been replaced 10 years ago!

Would find one on special offer so I have enough money left for the following as well.

Some chocolate
A couple of books
A few new clothes that I haven't had to get second hand.

MinnieAnonyMouse · 23/10/2019 07:22

A ring I saw in my local jewellers. It was STUNNING

Equimum · 23/10/2019 08:08

Knee length leather boots and a nice warm coat!

AuntieStella · 23/10/2019 08:12

Innov-8 stormshell, new Trekz and a pair of trail shoes.

Loyaultemelie · 23/10/2019 09:45

New clothes and comfy ankle boots, I have been laid up since February and put on weight and my leg is so sore I can only wear loose fitting ankle boots a size bigger. Also some more PHb makeup because it's the only one I'm not allergic to
