Heavy Periods but TTC-HELP!

Hi everyone,

So my DH and I are TTC. I had my coil out at the end of September. Had a little bleed, quite light over 4 wish days, spotted on the 5th, I assumed it was my period but the Dr did say I might get a withdrawal bleed. My Hubby and I started TTC anyway, I ovulated etc. Everything was fine.
I was on the TWW, and started to spot yesterday. At first I got excited thinking maybe I was getting implantation bleeding but I know it's not overly common. Anyway it's turned into a blood bath. Sorry tmi. I got heavy periods growing up and went on the pill, and then the coil when I met my now DH. Periods stopped altogether it was great.

So now Idk what to do or how to cope. My cramps aren't bad. It is literally just the amount of gushing.
I am at work part time at the mo, I do work in an office so I am lucky I can take loo breaks but the blood is ridiculous. I had tests growing up, and recent scans etc to find my coil, and I don't have PCOS, Endometriosis etc. Just generally unlucky with my AF.
I would appreciate some advise/tips on how to manage this please as I can't exactly get on the pill as TTC ! When I say a lot, I am talking a lot. I got up at 6:30am today, as soon as I stood up I bled and it went straight through my pad. I have changed three times and it is not even 8am yet and I have work in an hour. Tampons are out of the question I can't get on with them and never have.

Thank you in advance I really appreciate your tips.

I would buy some of those period pants. You wouldn't leak everywhere then.

Tranexamic acid and always pants!

You can get stuff from the gp to reduce the flow. I took tranexamic acid.
It doesn’t effect ttc.
Your gp might suggest other stuff (folic acid etc) to help you conceive.

Also if you are loosing that much blood, get you a good iron supplement!
