Hi I have been told that my cause I have 2 non Dependent adults live with me my children aged 24 and 21 they will have to pay £15 each a week towards the rent cost as they have have taken £120 out of my housing payment and the shortage to be paid by the non depend adults.
24 gets JSA £57 a week
21 Gets UC £100 a week has 2 children
I always thought that under 25 and on benefits that they wouldn't come in to it as they claim benefits, also reading online on several website it states that a person is except from NON Dependent Deduction if they are under 25 and claim UC Income support or JSA but I have been told by UC that even them on benefits they still have to pay towards the rent. Does anyone else claim UC and live with a non depend under 25 who claims benefits who could tell me what is correct
