Abscess after root canal- what will the dentist do?

I had a root canal treatment last week, after 7 weeks of miserable pain with a dodgy premolar. It hasn't shown any signs of settling down since treatment.
The tooth is now very painful tonight- throbbing, shooting pain. Much worse when I lie down or lean forward ☹️.

I'm actually already on antibiotics anyway, although obviously not the right ones (as this pain started halfway through the course!).

Given that the tooth is recently root filled, what will the dentist actually do to help me tomorrow? Will she just extract?

Thank you 😣
