Classical music appreciation

I was watching John Wick 3 the other day (I wouldn't particularly recommend it!) and the best part of the film was hearing Vivaldi's Four Seasons Winter. What a beautiful and brilliant piece of music. What classical music do you enjoy?

I like ballet music. I can’t tell you anything in particular as it’s been a long time...you’re making me want to look some up though!

I do love classical music, but I don’t listen to it often.

Max richter, Spring 1. Love it! He has reimagined Vivaldi and it’s just a great album.

I love a lot of classical music from films too.

I'm a complete novice to classic music but I always have it on the radio. I love the range of emotions.

I do adore Un bel dì vedremo from Madame Butterfly. I've seen it many times now and it always catches me.

Mostly I like relatively modern music -my favourite composer would be Rachmaninov or Shostakovich. I also love Ravel and Debussy. My DH on the other hand thinks that more or less anything more recent than JS Bach is the work of the devil so we fight a bit over music choices in the car. Though he will tolerate a few bits of Brahms to keep me happy and I will accept selected Mozart. Grin

I look forward to looking these up and having a listen. Thanks all!
