My mum died in September a.d I'm really struggling to pay for the funeral. I am having to do it all alone as no one else to help...I am a single mum to my children so struggle financially anyway
I have set up a go fund me page but can't share it on Facebook or anywhere as my mum's family say it's begging even though they haven't offered to help me pay for anything.i don't know what else to do

It must be so hard for you emotionally right now , having money worries is not going to help things at all.
When my DH died I was the only one that was responsible for everything from talking to the police , planning of the funeral , sorting the finances out , paying for the service, the cars and the wake . so I understand what you are going through.
1st, are you the executor of the will ? If you are you should be able to access your DMs bank account and use any money in there to pay off her bills and the funeral
2nd , talk to your bank ( go in to a branch , and book a appointment to see a adviser ) they will be able to help you manage your own money and will often contact anyone you own money to and get a stay put on payments for a month,
3rd contact this website , the money is not means tested and will not affect any benefits. www.gov.uk/bereavement-payment .
4th, Many friends may not be able to help out financially , it doesn't mean they dont care , dont let it spoil the friendship.
they may be able to help in other ways like looking after the DCs for a hour or two while you go to the bank .
5th Make sure you get copies of the death cert , you will need them for the bank, benefits she was claiming , landlord , bills etc ( I think I needed 8 altogether )
6th, Take care of yourself , make sure you eat properly, try to get enough sleep and gentle exercise, Flowers

Do you need a traditional funeral? - have sent PM - all best to you - a stressful time - Basilisk

funeral support payment Scotland. I don't know if there are similar schemes in the rest of the UK.

Sorry OP Thanks

How is your credit? Could you possibly get a loan? (Not payday loans)

@SamBeckett I think that's for spouses rather than children.
