Are shark cordless hoovers worth it?

Im tempted by them. I have pets and a house on 3 storeys. Im wondering if the fact its a cordless will make me more inclined to do the upstairs more often, or whether the small cannisters would be a massive faff.
Its a lot of money for a hoover though isnt it. Everyone seems to be raving about them, but are they that good?

I think so yes. I change filters regularly and clean out roller too. Buy 2 batteries though.

How often do you need to clean filters?

The TV advert for the new Dyson cordless quotes Which saying it’s the best cordless they’ve ever tried. The Shark says the ‘hair cutting technology’ is amazing, but I can just yank off stray hairs.

Im reluctant to get another dyson because of brexit though. Put me right off

I’m a cleaner. I have one. And it’s great !!!!!! Easy to use. Light to move around. Get a lift away one makes it easier to do stairs. Also ..... I got the Warranty. I knocked the under piece and it broke. I phoned them and as I had the warranty they sent me out a replacement part. The next day and it was a Sunday as well. They didn’t just send me a new part they sent me out an entire bottom half of the hoover.

I used to have dysons. After having a shark you realise how big , clumpy and hard to clean they are.

I have the pet one which is the orange and dark blue one.

I thought about a shark but was put off by the price. I bought a Henry pet (the green one) instead and have to say I’d rate it better than my old Dyson. Much better price than the shark even factoring the bags.

I have a cordless shark, three floors and a hairy dog! Highly recommend it. Picks up better than my miele cat and dog and is very easy for the stairs. The canister is small and does require frequent emptying but it is very easy to do and means it doesnt ever smell of dog.

What model to people recommend? I have 3 floors, 4 kids and a hairy cat. I feel like I dont hoover upstairs enough because the hoover is so bulky atm.

I use the one I posted in my cleaning jobs. The little orange brush you can see in the bottom edge catches the dog and cat hairs underneath it. You just take out the brush and scrape away.

I wouldn’t buy another one now. It is easier to use as well. Less bulky than a dyson. Yes it doesn’t hold as much as other hoovers. But it is easier to empty and I find it smells less and I have less blockages. When u have a blockage. It is ridiculously easy to take apart and put back together again. I rave about this hoover to anyone that will listen. Customer service was great.

I went to curry’s to buy it. The guy there stood for ages and told me all the things wrong with it and not to buy it. Thankfully I didn’t listen

I’ve just had to return a Shark IF130UKTH Anti-Allergen Cordless because I found it didn’t pick up dirt very well and also found it heavy and uncomfortable to use within about a minute of switching it on. Was really disappointed as it mainly had great reviews.

I did like the convenience of it being cordless and not having to keep switching to different plug sockets but I will be replacing with a corded Miele Cat and Dog vacuum. I’ve had two of them and found them to be really good. If they made a cordless version that worked as well at the corded version I’d be very happy.

I just bought one but with a cord. Very impressed. Also I can do 5 payment for the balance of £250. They are on offer right now. I'm very happy.

I've got a Dyson. It was bloody expensive but it's been worth every penny

I have a shark cordless duo. This means I have a second battery which is useful if you are doing a ‘big clean’ but I can do the whole house on one battery.
I had a Dyson before. When I got the shark I vacuumed the living room with the Dyson, then the Shark. The dust box on the Shark was full.

It’s much easier to take upstairs and easier to empty.

Ours was around £136, refurbished from Dyson, with the same warranty as a new one. Got my mum one too. She loves it.

the shark reviews on trustpilot seem to be hit and miss with quite a lot of people not happy.
Urgh, i always get stressed with expensive purchases

My mum has the K9 edition G-tech. It picks up all sorts from the floor. It also leaves a nice smell afterwards.

I have one and I love it.

I did have a Dyson animal that was fantastic but it was higher powered, bulky and not easy to take apart but I did love it.

When a part snapped I decided to buy a shark and it's great. Clicks together and apart so easily. Glides across the floor, easy to move around and great for stairs because you just hold the body in one hand and have the hose in the other and neither are heavy.

And it's the Shark Duoclean corded with the extra animal hair part. I paid £199.96 which I spread over four months. A fab hoover.

We've got a Dyson v6. It cost a bomb when we bought it but the light weight is a huge advantage and means it actually gets used. Most corded uprights nowadays are ridiculously heavy.

The battery life and canister size are kind of shit though. It forces a little and often approach.
