All I can think of is some nice bath oil. Obviously a book. Perhaps a new bath robe.

What do you what for Christmas?

OP posts:
Themazeoflife · 20/10/2019 20:33

Fluffy socks, without glitter as that just Irritates my feet.

Already bought my new book today, Christmas Shopaholic, that's to go in my stocking.

Drogosnextwife · 20/10/2019 20:35

A tumble dryer. Now my dp would never consider buying my electrical appliances for Christmas or birthdays as they are not presents for me! But I can't think of anything else and I just want to be able to get towels and bedding dried quickly!

Bluebell9 · 20/10/2019 20:38

A lamp from John Lewis, hotel chocolate chocolate vodka and some new slippers.

I'm not one for gifts as theres nothing I really want/need and I usually ask for a Hoover, iron ect but this year I'm going to be a single parent and all I want is a new dressing gown and some pj's.

Porridgekisses · 20/10/2019 20:41

No idea! It's my birthday next week, and I can't think of anything I'd like for that either.

Ninkaninus · 20/10/2019 20:43

My OH bought me a tumble dryer for Christmas some years ago. It was much appreciated and is one of my favourite presents ever! Xmas Grin

This year I would like a Barbour coat, a cashmere scarf or a pair of boots.

Greaterthanthesumoftheparts · 20/10/2019 20:46

I am putting together a list for DH as he does well when instructed but terribly when he goes off piste. Mine includes a pink North Face gilet, a new pair of Ralph Laurent striped Pyjamas, hiking trousers, several books...

PixieDustt · 20/10/2019 20:47

I would like a canvas with a picture from my DS newborn photo shoot and a personalised calander of pictures with him in it.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/10/2019 20:47

Mostly books:
Underland / the new Bill Bryson / the Dishoom recipe book
I also want a new travel mug and some tiny picture frames. Nothing much else really - maybe a couple of things from our local indie shops.

LilyJade · 20/10/2019 20:49

My mum has bought me a miniature Moorcroft vase decorated with Siamese cats from an antiques fair.
I love cats & collect cat ornaments so it's a gift I really wanted, i was with her when she bought it.

I'd like someone to buy me the Clinique smart repair serum as I have the Boots No7 protect & Perfect serum but prefer the Clinique one & cant afford it.

There are some books I'd like about ww2, I'd like a pair of trainers either dark red Vans or Nike Air Force 1s; also a gold necklace.

I'll probably end up buying myself those things!!

decisionsincisions · 20/10/2019 20:50

New pots and pans

Anyone recommend some good quality ones which won't break the bank?

MoaningMyrtle96 · 20/10/2019 20:56

A new fluffy dressing gown and some good quality pyjamas. My favourite perfume, a bulk pack of film for my polaroid and maybe some vouchers to treat myself to some makeup.

imclaustrophobicdarren · 20/10/2019 21:00

A new handbag....from Dior 🤦🏻‍♀️ I am a nightmare

PrincessHoneysuckle · 20/10/2019 21:02

A bottle of Portrait of a Lady

Gertie75 · 20/10/2019 21:07

An everyday handbag made of washable material so I can put it in the washing machine, lens for my camera, brown winter boots.

Anyone struggling to think what to have I can recommend a heated throw for the sofa, they're great, I sit under mine all toasty every evening and it's saved a fortune on the gas bill as I no longer need the fire on.

LazyFace · 20/10/2019 21:13

Nothing really. I want a bread machine, but now.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/10/2019 21:14

Decision - the Sainsbo's rip off le Creuset casseroles are really good.

Outsomnia · 20/10/2019 21:16

Mum and Dad back along with my 40 yr old sister.

Forget all the consumerist shyte. It means nothing now.

geeraf · 20/10/2019 21:27

Jeez. I'm just going to say it. Really sorry for you Out, sounds like you've had a particularly shit time - nobody would want that, but way to bring a fluffy lighthearted little thread down...

TravellingSpoon · 20/10/2019 21:33

A chillys bottle and a book I have had on my amazon wishlist for ages about the LISK.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/10/2019 21:33

Yes, agreed. Outsomnia, I'm truly sorry for your losses, but this really isn't the place and isn't very fair on the OP to rain on the parade like that.

Maybe start a new thread?

Sunshine196 · 20/10/2019 21:35

New Dorothy koomson book
New jo malone fragrance
Small silver hoop earrings

huntinghighandlow · 20/10/2019 21:37

It's like when someone has a moan about their mum, there's always one who says 'you should be grateful you have a mum, mine's dead'

CocoLoco87 · 20/10/2019 21:37

Some new perfume. I keep trying Miss Dior when I'm in Debenhams/ HoF. The original one, not blooming bouquet or the other newer ones. But I also like Diorella Confused I can only choose one.

BercowsFlyingFlamingo · 20/10/2019 21:49

Revocation of Article 50.
World peace.
For everyone to have the Christmas they deserve.

Failing that, some pjs as I live in them.
