Hi - I would appreciate some suggestions on what to do in my situation please.
I sold my IPhone 7 to a selling website and was offered £115 ( I have sold before without issue). Before I sent the phone off I checked it was in good order. I sent it in the box I got the phone in and it previously had a cover on the screen and the back the whole time I used it.
After they received it I got an e mail stating the phone camera was damaged and they would offer £28. I asked for the phone back and when I received it the lens was badly cracked and it had sticky black residue on the back.
I have gone back to them and suggested it is not my phone but they have said it is and may have been damaged in transit. They said the residue is from a faulty sticker they put on.
I don't see how the phone could be damaged in transit as it was secure and had padded packaging. I also don't think a sticker on for a day would leave residue.
My husband has suggested sending it back with the e mails printed saying this is not my phone. I don't know what to do though.
Sorry it is so long
