And I’m absolutely pooping myself. I’m terrified of the dentist as it is. Im having major panic attacks 😩 how long will it take? I didn’t even realise I needed them until a check up. Should I just leave it for now? 😩

Don't leave it as you'll end up like me tooth eventually broke I had an infection in the nerve, then it got removed anyway. All could of been avoided with just a filling! I think it doesn't hurt I can't remember they numb you I know that and you don't feel anything. Someone will be along with better advice but you will be fine.

I hate going to the dentist, but I'm going to tell you to go.
If you don't get them sorted, the decay will only get worse and eventually you will be in pain and the work needed will take longer.
It shouldn't hurt as unless the filling is quite minimal, the dentist will numb your mouth. It won't hurt at all once it's done.
Be brave! You can do this.

Don't leave it. Tell the dentist you're terrified; I should imagine they're quite used to people being nervous. You shouldn't feel anything, and it will all be over soon. Have something fun to focus on after your appointment.

Not long after giving birth to my first baby i had to go in for 5 fillings and some of them deep, dentist did 4 of them in a double appt and did the 5th one in another appt. It was the first time I'd had a rest on my own without baby and i almost fell asleep! Dont worry, it'll not take long at all for just two.

And as others say make sure you inform the dentist of your fear so they can take extra care of you.

Oh OP I am the worst person for the dentist but honestly, thinking about it is worse than actually being there! You will not feel the injection (ask for the numbing gel beforehand if you are very worried) and you will feel such relief when it is over!!

I missed a dental appt for two fillings last year as I decided they were unnecessary. Obviously I was not as qualified to determine this as I thought as I then spent all summer in agony as my dentist was busy (I could have gone to another but I was too scared). I am now fixed and endured a scale and polish and my teeth are really great (for me!).
Please go. You won't regret it! Also, my friend came with me which helped! X

It won't take long - maybe 20mins?

Op I had two fillings last year and didn't even need anaesthetic! It's really not as bad as you think
