This will probably bring people out the woodwork to say they hate so and so celebrity but who are the ones that you never really hear a bad word said about them? My nomination is: Dolly Parton.

Love Andy Murray, happy to speak out and live by his principles.

Kathy Burke, amazing woman. How I'd love her self esteem.

Engineering201 · 20/10/2019 19:37

Monica from Masterchef

Sarahsquareddd · 20/10/2019 19:37

Bill Nighy!!!

midsomermurderess · 20/10/2019 19:38

Jamie Callum seems sweet. I heard him on Jay Rayner's podcast where he takes people to lunch and he was lovely. Didn't Patrick Stewart do a grim fat shaming of,James Corden a few years ago at an award ceremony? Nobody deserved that.

Engineering201 · 20/10/2019 19:38

Mandela
Martin Luther King
The Queen

Whatwouldbigfatfannydo · 20/10/2019 19:38

That's what I get for not following celebrity news! He always seemed nice on QI Hmm

Sarahsquareddd · 20/10/2019 19:40

Colleen Rooney

Jools Oliver

Whatwouldbigfatfannydo · 20/10/2019 19:40

The Queen!!? Shock
God, no...

Republican here though so I don't care for any of that lot Grin

MarshaBradyo · 20/10/2019 19:41

Colleen Rooney and Jools Oliver - both grate equally I reckon!

wejammin · 20/10/2019 19:42

Victoria Wood. How could anyone dislike Victoria Wood?

ThankYouStavros · 20/10/2019 19:43

Julie Walters

highlandcoo · 20/10/2019 19:43

Never been a massive Bruce Forsyth fan personally, but a friend told me a lovely story about him.

Her friend (huge BF fan) was in hospital and seriously ill. Bruce Forsyth lived nearby and was due to visit the hospital for some fundraising event. My friend contacted him and said if he could pop into her ward and say hello it would mean a lot.

So, he did, got chatting and came back to visit every week for several months until this lady died. He then said to the family he would very much like to attend her funeral, but knew the attention would be on him if he did so, therefore would regretfully stay away. It never got into the press; just a caring thing to do.

highlandcoo · 20/10/2019 19:49

And YY to Andy Murray.

And Graham Norton. Very nice to my daughter when she worked (in a very lowly capacity) on a show with him. MInd you, when we saw him in the audience at the Royal Exvchange in Manchester, the number of sycophantic hangers-on surrounding him was astonishing.

Kathy Burke!

I can’t believe only @TheNavigator has mentioned her.

And Julie Walters too, she’s brilliant.

I’m adding Julia Donaldson to the list, she lives in my mum’s old village and goes above and beyond for the local bookshop

Babybel90 · 20/10/2019 19:50

I was so pleased with all the e lovely stories that came out about George Michael after he died, about how generous he’d been and never wanting the credit, especially when you think of the bad press he’d had during his lifetime.

RuffleCrow · 20/10/2019 19:51

@subwaysaladfan i knew jessie j way back when and she was lovely.

PralineCookie · 20/10/2019 19:52

Dick and Angel off Escape To The Chateau.
They seem loved by everyone.

Not by me.

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 20/10/2019 19:54

George Michael
Mark Ruffolo
Patrick Swayze
Jennifer Anniston
Ellen
Reece Witherspoon
Oprah

TheCanterburyWhales · 20/10/2019 20:03

I've never understood the point of Jennifer Aniston. But then, I've disliked every film/TV series she's in to the point of using her as a bit of a yardstick "oh, if Jennifer's in it, I'll hate it"
Nothing against her personally, just never seen why she's always talked about.
Dawn French is a right cah apparently, is always mentioned on the horrible sleb threads.
That's a lovely Bruce story.

PuppyMonkey · 20/10/2019 20:04

I know he’s dead but I’d be seriously upset if it turned out James Stuart was a bad ‘un.

saltysally · 20/10/2019 20:04

Apparently Ellen is a bully, apparently.

Sunflower20 · 20/10/2019 20:05

Another vote for Keanu Reeves.
Also maybe Emily Blunt?

Anyway I can't stand Beyonce.

MarshaBradyo · 20/10/2019 20:07

Yes to Emily Blunt

user1497207191 · 20/10/2019 20:07

Jim Bowen - a real Northern gent. I remember him when he was a teacher (special needs) as he used to buy his fags at our newsagents shop up the road. When he became famous, he never changed. He still came in, still happy to chat, and I think he carried on teaching for quite a while even though he had become a TV personality.

saltysally · 20/10/2019 20:09

Prince
Bruce Springsteen

Can't dislike Jamie Callum or Michael Buble even though I don't like their music.
