Sorry I'm sure this has been done to death. My Dyson is dying, its only 3 yrs old but I've never been 100% happy with it, I'm looking to replace it with something reliable, preferably cordless. Any recommendations gratefully received., thanks.

You can’t go wrong with a Shark

HeatedDryer · 20/10/2019 16:44

Thanks. I'll have a look

My next one will be a Shark. I've a Vax currently but it's not as good as I expected it to be.

Not a Dyson V10 cordless OP. I think it’s the worst £400 I have ever spent.

Been through several as I have dogs. I currently have a henry and it's simply the best! Highly recommended

Just got a Shark and I love it!
It’s normally DH that cares about vacuums but this one makes me happy. God, I’m so old and boring.

Henry here too maddy, bought after the ££££ Dyson cordless because it’s so crap. I also have a Dyson ball light on the second story - so heavy to push despite the name.

Henry = the best £130 I have spent for a long time.

Shark! We had dysons an a Henry previously, and they both pale in comparison.

HeatedDryer · 20/10/2019 17:15

Feel strangely comforted that others have found their Dysons to be useless. Mine seems to be cutting out intermittently which is very annoying.
Will look at your suggestions thanks.

I have a shark lift away and if you have carpets/pets its bloody amazing. But if you have hard floors I wouldn't recommend as I find it quite heavy and not as good on hard floors. Worth it for me tho with the above combination
