What can I take to a Shiva?

One of our work colleagues husband and Thursday will be the end of the week mourning so a couple of us will pay our respects then. We aren’t Jewish but we are welcome to go. What good should we take my colleague isn’t strictly kosher outside but at home with others we assume she is so we don’t want to take the wrong thing.

The easiest option would be to go to a Jewish food store / order from one online and get a cake or something. That’s what I’d do anyway (as a Jew) if I was visiting someone observant where other food may not be suitable for them.
