I need a time out...

Following on from the "muuuuuuuum" thread I suppose.

I have 2 DS's, 10 and 6. If they're in the same room, they're fighting (sometimes even in separate rooms they still manage). This, coupled with DS1's endless need to argue and have the last word, plus the 1000 x "mum" I hear a day, I need a break. I'm currently hiding upstairs with a coffee, an egg sandwich and my tablet to watch Netflix. DH (who isn't often home due to his job) has told them I'm on holiday, and he's out washing the cars if they need him. When he's finished I might take the dog for a nice long walk somewhere, just the 2 of us.

What do you do when you need a break? Do you get the chance? How do you cope when you feel like you're about to snap?

Hoping you're all having a calmer Sunday than I am!

Hide with a hot drink and Mumsnet and growl at the kids if they ask for anything
