Can you still get pay as you phones where the credit doesn't expire?

I keep looking at getting pay as you go, but the ones I’ve seen seem similar to contracts. Eg you need to top up £5 monthly, unused credit disappears?

Can you still get other types?

Yes. The ones I've seen and used have all allowed you to then opt in for a bundle of some kind (like a contract and expires) or for normal credit (that doesn't expire) or a combination of the two.

Have a look at giffgaff. You can have PAYG credit that doesn't expire, a monthly goody bag that does, or a mix of both.

I have a very basic PAYG from Tesco - it was £15 to buy and no monthly fees. Just5 top up when running out.
