Mirena and migraines

I got the coil about a month ago to try and help with really heavy periods and migraines. I started getting migraines the first day of my period last August... over time it then progressed to a migraine the day after period finishes and when I ovulate too. So I was keen to try anything! Doc thought this would help. It really hasn’t. I only spotted for two days post insertion which was great but when I got my period 11 days ago it came complete with a migraine. I got rid of it after 24 hours but everyday I woke up with a headache so took tablets which nipped it in the bud. Yesterday I decided I can’t take tablets everyday so I’d try without. By 3pm I was in bed with a migraine and exhaustion. Bar waking up to take more tablets I slept from 3pm yesterday until 10am today. I’m back in bed exhausted now. I’ve just taken paracetamol/codeine. I’m still bleeding too. This can’t be normal? I’m worried if I go in they’ll just say I need to give it more time to settle. But I can’t function like. I’ve got two kids and a job. What do I do? Is there anything I can push the Dr. For?

Evening bump... slept 22 out of 26 hours. Didn’t even know this was possible
