Long story short, hopefully
I began a job where no accommodation was made for my physical disabilities despite them being clear on my application and discussed at interview. After 4 months I became ill due to trying to manage in an unsafe environment and was signed off sick. My employer (eventually) made it clear that they would not make accommodations. Although I have been advised that i have a good case for Disability Discrimination I am exhausted and decided to accept the very modest Settlement they offered and try to move on.
However, they have not provided my September payslip (zero) which I need to unfreeze my Income Support benefits. The legal advisor I saw suggested I ask for this prior to returning any signed Settlement, as they have been saying it is 'not company policy' to provide it.
I eventually got it yesterday, after they advised that they had sent it previously (not so). But they have now sent an email saying that my 'precarious personal financial affairs are not dependent on the settlement and the payslip was only provided as a gesture of goodwill as was the settlement offer (not signed by us) therefore we have taken advice and intend to withdraw it'.
Eh? I am half tempted to just post it in the morninganyway and half tempted to reply saying: 'fine, see you at Tribunal'.
