Wedding in two days!

I am getting married in two days and I’m starting to worry I’ve forgotten to do something. We’re having a small ceremony with 40 guests and a meal.

I think I have everything sorted with only hair and make up to be paid. What may I have forgotten? Suggestions welcome, please.

Have you remembered to order a goose to sacrifice the night before the wedding?

To try to relax and enjoy the day. As long as you have a groom, bride, celebrant/registrar and witnesses and rings if using you haven’t missed anything vital.

A mini bottle of fizz for you to drink in the morning? Have a fabulous day.

Hmma goose? Am I missing something?

Have some fizz for the adults need to get something fancy for DD. Oh and need bacon for breakfast👍🏻

I have everything you suggested @Difficultcustomer except the ability to relax at the moment.

Do you have

  • food/drink at the reception
  • flowers
  • little gift for the mother/bridesmaids/groomsmen
  • dress/shoes/bag (for phone, tissues, etc)
  • person that you are marrying
  • clothes for the person that you are marrying
  • quiet distraction like colouring in if you have small people attending

I was married at the start of summer. Big traditional stately home affair. I know it’s not easy but the BEST thing I ever did was just take my foot off the gas!
I was never a ‘bridezilla’ 😂 but it’s so easy to get wrapped up in your wedding and overly intense.

Take a GIANT strep back the night before. Clear your mind, understand that if it’s not already done it’s not getting done- trust yourself (the work you’ve done up to this point) and the suppliers/venue you’ve hired.

Turn up on your wedding morning as if you’re a guest. Sip on something nice, munch your favourite treats and get ready at your leisure. Let the day wash over you and enjoy it! Something WILL go wrong (if it’s just one thing then it’s going well 👍🏻) just let it and enjoy your day!

I had the most incredible day I hope you do too xx

Have you double checked deep, deep down and made triple sure he's not a bastard? I forgot yo do this.

StevieGLetsGo2019 · 18/10/2019 15:47

@Kpo58 not having a reception so it’s one less thing to worry about. Have everything else ready to go, except a present for our usher🤦🏻‍♀️.

Thanks for the advice @ DisneyMadeMeDoIt. Having a night with my BMs and a few glasses of vino.

The most important thing to remember is that you need to relax and enjoy your day. It doesn't have to be perfect to be a wonderful wedding.

We stayed in a hotel the night of our wedding and then went straight to the airport for honeymoon here are the things I forgot-

A bag to carry my dress home in

Passports (a family member had to bring them to the hotel for us!)
